-Sartorial Sounds. June 18th, 2011, 92YTribeca
This was the scene last night at what felt like a secret society. Street Etiquette hosted a beautiful jam session for an sold-out audience of Sartorialists, well dressed young men and women in a lower corner of Manhattan Island.
The featured performers included:
Ms. Mara Hruby (Classy, Talented Singer from Oakland, CA)
Mr. Joekenneth Museau (A Poet in a Purple Blazer & Lime Necktie)
Mr. Theo Martins (23-year-old Rapper Providence, Repping Rhode Island)
Melo-X (Dreds and Jean-Jacket with Hype Beats and High Energy)
Joshua Bennet (From Yonkers, Highly-Acclaimed Award-Winning Poet)
Mr. Rinaldy Alverez (Tap Dancer Who Battled Gregory Hines’ Ghost on Stage)
Mr. Jesse Boykins III, (Mane-Haired Baritone Singer Formally from Miami, Florida.
I could only wish Joshua Kissi and Travis Grumbs throws another one of these. I never felt like I needed to be any one more place than here, and I fit, as well as every other guy and gal in the room.
We need more of these, to be inspired, motivated, to dress well and push each other to new heights of our own creativity.
For me, Sartorial Sounds certainly did that…
